Aid You Don't Have to Pay Back

Scholarships and grants are types of aid that do not need to be repaid. While grants are often need-based, scholarships are more likely to be merit-based. Both are offered through a wide variety of sources, from the federal government to state governments, colleges, private corporations and nonprofit organizations.
